Gerard Troise

Gerard Troise lives in the Ozark Mountains of Southwestern Missouri. Born in Queens, New York, in 1960, he spent most of his life there. In his late twenties and early thirties, Gerard struggled with drug addiction after losing his job at a refrigeration plant, which exacerbated his drug habit.

During this time, Gerard’s home became a gathering place for friends who shared his drug use. He spent significant sums of money on drugs and neglected his health. One night, in desperation for drugs and money, Gerard stole crack from a local dealer. Two weeks later, during another drug transaction, he narrowly survived a gunshot wound to his head.

This terrifying event prompted Gerard to reevaluate his life. He recalled a comforting verse from the Bible and decided to turn back to God and break free from drugs. Though challenging, he remained dedicated to recovery through prayer and Bible study.

To support himself, Gerard took on various jobs like metal recycling and painting. Later, he secured a position with the postal service. During this period, inspired by his faith, Gerard wrote a book titled “King Josiah The Untold Story.” He also joined Beth Israel fellowship and participated in missionary trips to several countries, sharing his faith with others.

Recently, Gerard published his book and found it intriguing that another author, Jonathan Cahn, released a book about Josiah around the same time. He views this synchronicity as more than mere chance. If you’ve read Gerard’s book, he welcomes your feedback. Additionally, if you’re struggling with addiction or facing challenges, Gerard extends his support and encouragement to reach out for help.
